The Online Gallery
Welcome to "Through The Lens: Diversity and Trust in Healthcare," an online gallery showcasing the works of young Londoners from ethnic minority backgrounds in London.
Using disposable cameras, these individuals have captured compelling images that explore themes of trust in healthcare.
This exhibition highlights personal and communal experiences, aiming to bridge gaps and foster understanding within Black, Asian and other ethnic minority Communities.
The Exhibition
The live exhibition went public on 7th -10th June 2024 at The Handbag Factory in South London. On launch night, all participants, CVR Community members and members of the public attended to celebrate the unveiling of the art work.
Over £3000 worth of prizes were given out for winning entries judged by a panel of artists and community leaders.
Performances and speeches were given by artist Che Lingo and award-winning poet Theresa Lola. There was also delicious food on the night (of course).

About the Research Project
Over the past year few years, we have been exploring the complex dynamics of trust within healthcare systems, learning from diverse communities across the UK who often face significant disparities in health outcomes and access to care.
Through co-creation groups, digital ethnography, surveys, interviews, and other forms of community engagement, we sought to capture the voices, experiences, and perceptions of people from these communities regarding their interactions with healthcare providers and institutions and how trust is formed and maintained.
